Gelston Lamb

Gelston Lamb is a family farm based in the small village of Gelston, 7 miles from Grantham. Run by husband and wife team Chris and Louise Elkington, and two mini shepherdesses, Imogen and Eleanor. Our flock is made up of around 450 breeding ewes which graze in our fields of grass, clover and herbal leys with beautiful views across Lincolnshire.

We are extremely proud to produce award-winning produce, and it is a priority to us for our customers to know the meat’s provenance and that it is sustainably farmed using practices that work in harmony with the environment. We believe that great taste takes time, so that’s why our lamb is reared slowly and naturally. We then hang the meat for 7-10 days, enhancing the lamb’s beautiful depth of flavour, which you wouldn’t get from supermarket meat.

We use our local abattoir in Grantham, which is only a 15-minute drive away and then our small friendly team butchers it in our own butchery on the farm. So when you buy from us, you know that there are minimal food miles which are best for our lamb, customers and the environment.

Local deliveries are delivered by us, or you can opt for Click and Collect from the farm. We also offer Nationwide delivery so our lamb can be enjoyed wherever you are in the country.
